The College has deployed a number of WolfVision Cynap devices in classrooms and meeting spaces around campus to allow for wireless casting to the screen from your iOS, MacOS, Windows, or Android devices (see a list of classrooms equipped with Cynap devices). The Cynaps’ wireless screen casting provides the ability to collaboratively share class materials from a variety of sources, such as showing a laptop, tablet, smartphone, and more. At this workshop, E.J. Hudock, manager of AV infrastructure, ITS, and Chelsea Emrick, instructional technologist, ITS will demonstrate how to use a Cynap device within the classroom, including the ability to switch between multiple shared devices, how to handle common troubleshooting issues, and allow attendees the opportunity to explore the device. This is an all-day drop-in workshop allowing folks time to pop in, test out the equipment, and ask questions. You are encouraged to bring your own device(s) to test.

ITS has plans to roll out this technology throughout smart classrooms this summer, so anyone with an interest is invited to attend. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
