If you're a Pell Grant recipient and you'd like to study abroad, consider applying to the federal Gilman Scholarship! You can receive up to $5,000 to put toward study abroad costs, or more if you're studying a Critical Need Language.
The Gilman application has three essays (one personal statement and two community impact prompts). Stop by the College Writing Program in Pardee 319 to get advice on your application essays! Previous Gilman Scholars will also be present to answer questions. You don't need to have started your application to attend this workshop. You can also come by to brainstorm essay ideas, ask questions, and learn more about the scholarship opportunity.
