This is one of three open meetings that the Teaching and Learning committee is holding to discuss topics explored in the recent report on faculty feedback on the use of evaluations. The focus during these sessions will be on the following three items that were identified in that report.

  • The desire for an instructor-defined opening date for each course’s evaluation period
  • The long-standing practice of making quantitative student evaluation data public
  • Including questions addressing inclusivity in the student evaluations of teaching

Attendees are welcome to arrive and depart as their schedules allow. Light lunch will be provided (first come, first served). A meeting for pre-tenure and non-tenure-track faculty is being held Tuesday (12:15-1:15) and another meeting open to all faculty will be held on Thursday (12:15-1:15), Feb 28 and March 2, in the same location. In addition to attending these meetings, T&L welcomes conversation and correspondence. The committee will discuss the feedback gathered during these sessions at its March 8 meeting.
