DESCRIPTION:Lee Upton is the author of fifteen books\, including The Day Ev
 ery Day Is \n(2023)\, winner of the Saturnalia Poetry Prize\; two short st
 ory collections\; \nan award-winning novella\, The Guide to the Flying Isl
 and\; an essay \ncollection\; and six additional books of poetry and four 
 books of literary \ncriticism.  Her first collection of stories\, The Tao 
 of Humiliation\, \nreceived starred reviews from Kirkus and Library Journa
 l as well as strongly \npositive reviews from The New York Times\, Publish
 ers Weekly\, and Booklist.  \nKirkus selected the collection for their lis
 ting of “The Best Books of \n2014\,” one of eleven collections in the shor
 t story category that included \ntitles by international authors\, among t
 hem Alice Munro and Hilary Mantel. \nHer second collection of short storie
