This will be re-scheduled for the sprint semester. Unraveling the Mysteries of the Leo Ring: A Study of an Enigmatic Gas Cloud. The Leo Ring is a huge (~200 kiloparsec diameter; mass ~2x10^9 solar masses) cloud of neutral gas that has been postulated to be either tidal or primordial in origin. Despite over 25 years of investigation, the mystery of its origin remains unsolved. I will discuss the history of studies of this enigmatic object as well as new observations from the Hubble Space Telescope.
