Remy Oktay ‘24 and a team of Lafayette students are bringing a fully electric airplane from Hartford, Connecticut to Braden Airpark, right next to the Metzgar Fields complex, this coming weekend for a series of events coined Lafayette Gets Electric.
A sustainability-themed tailgate will be held on the top deck of Markle Parking Deck on gameday, where the motorsports team will display its electric racecar and sustainability clubs will share projects and initiatives. Representatives from Ford Motor Company, Textron eAviation, Meltric Electric, and Citizens Climate Lobby will also be attending.
Lafayette Gets Electric invites you to visit the electric airplane on Thursday and Friday the 17/18th, as well as stop by the tailgate on the 19th. Transportation will be provided to and from Braden Airpark on the 17/18th.
Please fill out this form if you are interested in one or both of these opportunities.
