This fall, a team of Electrical Engineering students began the design of an electric vehicle. The completed vehicle will be entered into the SAE/IEEE Formula Hybrid competition, an event that challenges college and university students to design, build, and compete high-performance hybrid and electric vehicles. As part of their design experience, the students have been considering the ethical, social, and political implications of Electric Vehicle (EV) technology. In support of their analysis, the students will be conducting a town-hall style debate considering the question whether electric vehicles should be mandated by the year 2020. Visitors are welcome. Lunch Provided. Questions should be submitted in advance via email.
