Experience Washington, D.C. as your classroom! American University’s Washington Semester Program (WSP) is the perfect opportunity for students interested in public policy, government, economics, law, international affairs, and many other sectors. WSP combines American University (AU) coursework, experiential learning through topical seminars, and supervised internships at some of D.C.'s most dynamic institutions. Students study at AU for the fall, spring, or summer and enjoy the services and benefits of full-time AU students. Additionally, students learn from experienced AU faculty and are supported by dedicated program administrators and academic advisers. Students can participate in many of AU’s hundreds of clubs and activities and immerse themselves in the richly diverse campus community, all while getting hands-on professional development at their part-time internship.
