National Banned Books Week may be over, but many books still continue to cause controversy throughout the US. Members of the Lafayette Community are invited to participate in a new monthly Banned Books Reading Group that will take place at noon on the first Tuesday of every month in Skillman Library. To kick off the series we will be reading and discussing "Nickel and Dimed: on (not) getting by in America" by Barbara Ehrenreich. The book was challenged by an Easton Area School District parent in 2010 for promoting socialist ideas, advocating illegal drug use, and belittling Christians. Join us for what is sure to be a lively discussion!
