“One of jazz’s most celebrated vocalists,” (San Francisco Chronicle), Catherine Russell is that rarest of creatures: a genuine jazz and blues singer who radiates extraordinary interpretive power. Her vast and brainy repertoire draws from a wellspring of popular songs and hidden gems, music she fearlessly launches into with outright excitement and touching vulnerability.

Her newest album, Send for Me, is a swinging, swooning journey through songs made memorable by such greats as Nat King Cole, Betty Carter, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, and her father, orchestra leader Luis Russell.
