Please join us in welcoming home alumnus and Trustee Emeritus Alan Pesky ’56 for a fireside chat inspired by his recently published memoir, “More to Life than More: A Memoir of Misunderstanding, Loss, and Learning.”

Following retirement from a successful career in advertising, Pesky’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to start a magazine publishing company, and his boundless energy saw him through outdoor excursions around the world. However, in 1995, after the sudden loss of his 30-year-old son, Lee Pesky '87, due to an inoperable brain tumor, Pesky's focus turned to finding a way to honor his son. Like millions of children around the world, Lee struggled with learning differences throughout his childhood. Understanding the impact of learning disabilities on children and families, Pesky and his wife, Wendy, established the nationally recognized Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) in Boise, Idaho. Founded in 1997, LPLC has helped nearly 100,000 children and families across the U.S. find support they need to unlock their true potential.
