Have you ever thought of building houses with garbage? How about making houses energy-independent, by producing thermal mass and using natural resources? Michael Reynolds thought of all that: for more than 30 years, he has been using beer cans, wasted tires, and water bottles to build off-the-grid communities. Michael’s “outside the box” sustainable ideas may be controversial, but his determination in fighting climate change by testing sustainable solutions in the construction industry is bigger than that. Michael is the founder of Earthship Biotecture, and his work is very well pictured in "Garbage Warrior", a film by Oliver Hodge. It is an honor to have Michael Reynolds as a guest speaker at Lafayette – please join us in this live virtual event, and register HERE! You may attend in person (at Hugel 103), or remotely (zoom link provided through registration). Lunch will be offered to those attending in person.
