Topic: How food is the gateway to culture and how Elle displays her authentic self in the kitchen and beyond. The Executive Editor and Founder of The Diversity Council at America’s Test Kitchen (ATK) fought for herself — navigating a career and life full of extreme highs and lows, including an ovarian cancer diagnosis twice and agonizing treatments that followed, losing everything in the height of the 2008 recession and then reinventing herself career-wise, and being one of the few queer women of color to work as a chef in the culinary world.
