
Hannah Iezzoni and Chelsea Riddle from Keller will present foundation and earth retention case histories. Keller North America is the world’s largest geotechnical specialty contract and a leader in geotechnical solutions. The two design engineers, who work in the North East Business Unit of KNA, will present on deep foundations, ground improvement, and earth retention as well as the challenges to geotechnical construction and working for a contractor. They will explore the varying geologic profiles that make a site better suited to deep foundations or ground improvement. Nearby project case studies will be presented, including a discussion on the challenges of karst. They will discuss the interwoven design and construction decisions that make deep earth retention projects such a challenge to work on. They will also explore various paths in the civil and geotechnical engineering fields – both within Keller and in the industry in general.
