Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a powerful, yet easily accessible technology, used for analyzing and mapping information about the world around us. In this workshop, participants will be introduced  to basic GIS concepts followed by a brief demonstration of map-making using a GIS app available to the Lafayette community. Workshop participants will be provided with resources to pursue further lessons in GIS online. This event will be repeated Thursday February 10.
