POSTPONED: LGBTQIA+ in Uganda; A Discussion with John “Long Jones” Abdallah Wambere

John “Long Jones” Abdallah Wambere, a Ugandan LGBT+/HIV rights activist and co-founder of Spectrum Uganda Initiatives, will lead a discussion with students. Because of the threats he faced in Uganda, Wambere was approved for asylum in the US in 2014. He continues to be actively working with his colleagues back in Uganda and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. He is a recipient of the Logo TV International Trailblazer Award, and was featured in this award winning documentary.
