Ainissa Ramirez, Ph.D. is an award-winning scientist and science communicator who has been a research scientist at Bell Labs and a faculty member in mechanical engineering at Yale University. She is the author of the award-winning book The Alchemy of Us: How Humans and Matter Transformed One Another, and has received prizes from the National Science Foundation, the Alfred P.
