Join faculty from across the LVAIC Community for a book read focused on inclusive teaching. We will be exploring the newly published resource - What Inclusive Instructors Do: Principles and Practices for Excellence in College Teaching by Addy, Dube, Mitchell, and SoRelle. These sessions will provide an opportunity to explore practices and tools for improving the inclusiveness of your teaching.

 

Throughout the month of June we will be hosting facilitated discussion group sessions culminating in a presentation and Q&A with authors of the book on Thursday, July 8th from 10:00-11:00 am.

 

Weekly sessions will be held Mondays from 12:00–1:00 pm and Thursdays from 9:00- 10:00 am and will be focused around different chapters of the book. You do not need to attend each week to participate, come and join the conversations whenever you are able.

 

The sessions will be as follows:

Chapters 1 and 2

  • Monday June 7th 12:00-1:00 pm
  • Thursday June 10th 9:00-10:00 am

 

Chapters 3 and 4

  • Monday June 14th, 12:00-1:00 pm
  • Thursday June 17th, 9:00-10:00 am

 

Chapters 5 and 6

  • Monday June 21st, 12:00-1:00 pm
  • Thursday June 24th, 9:00-10:00 am

 

Chapter 7 and Epilogue

  • Monday June 28th, 12:00-1:00 pm
  • Thursday July 1, 9:00-10:00 am
