A Streetcar Named Desire
by Tennessee Williams
part of the National Theatre Collection

Pre-show talk by Prof. Michael O’Neill at 6:30; A Streetcar Named Desire begins at 7:00.

As Blanche’s fragile world crumbles, she turns to her sister Stella for solace – but her downward spiral brings her face to face with the brutal, unforgiving Stanley Kowalski.

Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Fall, Sex Education) plays Blanche DuBois with Ben Foster (Lone Survivor, Kill Your Darlings) as Stanley and Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission Impossible, Pieces of a Woman) as Stella. This critically acclaimed production was filmed live on stage at London’s Young Vic in 2014.

“An absolute knock-out.” —Daily Telegraph

“Steams off the stage with pain, excitement and clamour.” —Observer
