One of the exciting new directions in Cold War history is the study of Soviet involvement with new African states in the period of decolonization. Dr. Natalia Telepneva (University of Strathclyde) is one of the most interesting scholars investigating these developments, and she will join us for a virtual brownbag on the Cold War in Africa hosted by Professor Sanborn (History/REES) and the students in HIST 118 (The Cold War). Those interested in joining the Zoom should email Professor Sanborn for the link.
