Lafayette Theater alums talk about their careers in and out of the theater with current theater students and others interested in zooming for an informative and informal lunctime chat. Gavin Knox'17, who was working steadily as an actor, director, and substitue teacher in the Tristate Area until the pandemic began, joins his former theater professors for the Theater Department's first Lunchtime Chat of the 2020-21 Academic Year. Gavin will share his process in becoming a member of Actors Equity Association and will explain AEA's often arcane rules and regulations for approving new members.

The Theater Department's next Lunchtime Chat is scheduled for Friday 18 September at 12:00 pm and every other Friday after that through April 2021.

Some members of the Lafayette Community will remember Gavin's outstanding comic performance as Launce in The Merchant of Venice. An actor of rare intelligence and nearly limitless range, Gavin created a poignant--and very green--Grinch in How The Grinch Stole Christmas during the Theater Department's initial season in Buck Hall and mesmerized Lafayette audiences at Talk Radio as a fanatic fan on acid who gets into a Cleveland radio station and takes over a live call-in show by giving callers answers to their questions that are funny, foolish, and frightening.
