Damián Saínz is an activist from the Caribbean Africana Diaspora who identifies as Afro-Marica (or Afro-Queer). He is a well-known screenwriter and will be speaking in the course Span 316 Latin American Telenovelas about his activism and how it impacts his audiovisual work. This presentation will be conducted in Spanish. Everyone is welcome to join his talk; however, questions will be restricted to Span 316 students.
