Holiday Shorts have been adapted from folktales and stories around the world by Evan Guilford Blake and others to entertain kids of all ages at this special matinee for the young and the young at heart. Inspired by holiday festivals in different cultures and such holidays as Chanukah, the Chinese New Year, and Christmas, the plays include “Dreidel,” “The Nian,” "The 13th Cookie," and “A Visit from Saint Nicholas.” Puppets, music, audience participation: a holiday treat for the entire family! Directed by THTR 314 Students.
Free admission is the Theater Department's holiday gift to you. We ask that you celebrate the spirit of the season by bringing an unwrapped toy to the performance that the Theater Department will donate to Toys for Tots and other community organizations dedicated to making the holidays very happy for needy children right in our own backyard.
