A meditative music event featuring a performance by Grammy-nominated Moroccan band, Innov Gnawa.

They will also provide a presentation about the origins of Gnawa music as the ritual trance music of

Morocco’s black communities, originally descended from slaves and soldiers once brought to Morocco

from Northern Mali and Mauritania. Brooklyn Raga Massive’s David Ellenbogen—a master educator,

musician and radio host of Afro-Indian Rhythms will also be featured. There will also be a World Jam

Workshop exploring the origins of different instruments around the world. Morrocan food and tea will be

served throughout.
