The final film of Easton Summer Cinema 2019  is” Forty Second Street”(1933). In  one of the greatest Hollywood musicals ever made. a chorus girl from Allentown is called upon to save a Broadway show when the leading lady twists her ankle. Now classic song and dance numbers were filmed astonishingly by the great Busby Berkeley.

            The film is in gorgeous black and white and will be shown with captions for those with a hearing disability.

            Easton Summer Cinema is free and everyone is welcome. The show will start at 7 pm this Tuesday, August 6, Buck Hall, 219 N. 3rd St. Easton. Park at 3rd and Snyder St. lot or behind Buck Hall. Handicapped accessible. Optional informal discussions follow the films.

            Easton Summer Cinema is a program of the Village on College Hill and is sponsored by the Office of Lafayette College President, Alison Byerly, and FAMS (Film and Media Studies) at Lafayette.
