Music professor and pianist Skip Wilkins leads the Skip Wilkins Quartet in concert at the Williams Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Skip and his son Daniel (tenor saxophone) join with Tony Marino (bass) and Bill Goodwin (drums) to present music from their Fall 2019 CD Release: Skip & Dan Wilkins Quartet – “Someday” – on Deer Head Records. “Someday” features an uncommon yet superior selection of Great American Songbook standards. The quartet will play songs from this recording as well as additional repertoire that they plan to record in 2020. The various members of this group of world travelers play often nearby at Deer Head Inn, in Delaware Water Gap, hence the release of this CD on Deer Head Records. Lafayette audiences will know Bill Goodwin as the 2015-2016 Alan and Wendy Pesky Artist-in-Residence. Come out for a special evening of music!
