If you are passionate about mathematics, graduate school provides you with opportunities to conduct original research. You'll have a chance to learn and work with the leaders in your chosen field. A PhD in mathematics also opens career pathways that lead to jobs that are intellectually rewarding and have an impact on society. PhDs in Math are employed in academia, industry and government. In the meet-and-greet session, I will reflect upon my experience working with PhD students at the University of Delaware and the University of Minnesota.
