The cost of course materials such as textbooks and digital homework packs, has been skyrocketing over the past 10+ years. As Lafayette aims to become more affordable and recruit students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, the issue of classroom affordability will become increasingly important. Professors Angela Bell and Michael Nees will talk about their experiences with Open Educational Resources, followed by an open discussion of how members of the Lafayette community have been impacted by, and dealt with, the issue of course material affordability. Lunch will be served.
