Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society presents Lafayette’s first 24 Hour Play Contest! Enjoy doing theater but don’t have any time? Join APO for a whole 24 hours of creating new works. 

 

Calling all students interested in playwriting, acting, directing, and all aspects of theater. Students may sign up in teams or will be put in teams to write, rehearse, and perform several brand new 10-minute plays in just a 24 hour time-span. Registration will be completed online using the link below. Students must register for the event before FEBRUARY 1ST AT 12PM. 

 

The event will take place starting February 8th at 6:30pm. From 6:30 to 7pm, students will meet with their teams to begin brainstorming. The designated playwrights will then get to work writing scripts and rehearsals will begin early the next morning. Performances will be held at 7:30pm on February 9th in the Williams Center for the Arts, with judges choosing a winning play. Winning team members will receive prizes in the form of gift cards. Tickets are free with a $5 suggested donation to help APO put on more fun events!
