Who: Actor Shane O'Regan stars as "Tommo" Peaceful in the stage adaptation of Michael Morpurgo'sPrivate Peaceful.

What: Following on the worldwide success of his best-selling book, Tony Award-winning play and film, War Horse, this stage adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's prize-winning young adult novel Private Peaceful garnered five stars from all of Britain's and Ireland's major papers, and is concluding a five-week NYC run.

Set in the years preceding and into the Great War, the story charts the journey of young Tommo Peaceful, from country lad to army private. Reflecting on the fulfillment of youthful potential, the play nevertheless confronts the irreconcilable choices soldiers face and the inescapable horrors of war with unflinching candor. Actor Shane O'Regan delivers a bravura performance in his one-man show as he portrays the dozens of characters who populate Tommor's life. As the world observes the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI (November 11, 2018), Private Peaceful is a timely reminder of the heroic sacrifices made by those who served.
