Dar Williams, Alan D. ’56 and Wendy Pesky Artist-in-Residence, will talk about her new book, What I found in a thousand towns: A traveling musician's guide to rebuilding America's communities--one coffee shop, dog run, and open-mike night at a time, sing some songs, and answer questions. Although best known as a folk-pop singer-songwriter, Dar Williams is also the author of three books, including two for middle-school readers. In her latest work she draws on her experiences travelling to small towns to reflect upon what makes a community thrive.
