The 11th Annual Paul and June Schlueter Lecture in the Art and History of the Book will feature Andrew Stauffer, Associate Professor of English at the University of Virginia.  Professor Stauffer will talk about Book Traces, a crowd-sourced web project identifying nineteenth- and early twentieth-century books that bear the traces of previous readers--marginalia, inscriptions, photographs, drawings, letters, flowers, locks of hair, and other evidences of having been used.

The Schlueter Lecture Series was established in 2007 by Drs. Paul and June Schlueter in support of Skillman Library's Special Collections.  The donors intended that the lecture series cover a range of topics associated with the history, culture, production, conservation and collection of books of all time periods and in all formats.
