Dr. Maria Liberti graduated from Lafayette College in 2013 with Honors in Biology and a minor in Spanish. After Lafayette Maria entered the PhD program in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Cornell University. She is currently a visiting PhD candidate at Duke University in the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology. In 2015 she won a Graduate Research Fellowship Award from the National Science Foundation, and she has also won the Duke University Fitzgerald Award for Academic Achievement and recently was awarded a Pre-doctoral to Post-doctoral Transition Fellowship from the National Cancer Institute. Maria already has numerous publications and has also filed a patent for targeting GAPDH for antineoplastic applications.
