Kate Schapira lives in Providence, RI, where she teaches at Brown University, runs the Publicly Complex Reading Series, and offers Climate Anxiety Counseling. She's the author of six books of poetry, most recently FILL: A Collection (Trembling Pillow Press), a collaboration with Erika Howsare. Her nonfiction prose has appeared in Catapult and The Rumpus, and as a chapbook, Time to Be Something Other Than Human, with Essay Press. A pheasant has recently come to live in her backyard.
