Jazz Combos

Jazz Combo is a performance ensemble class which pursues the study and performance of jazz repertoire in an ensemble format.  Students develop interpretation and improvisational skills in jazz compositions and arrangements in a variety of jazz styles.  The repertoire for the spring performance included "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock; "Doxy" by Sonny Rollins; "I Thought About You" by Jimmy Van Heusen and much more.  Admission is free.  Tickets availalbe through the box office Monday-Friday between noon and 2:00pm and 4:00-5:00pm, or one hour before the show.  Tickets can also be ordered online at lafayetteartstickets.com
