Join us for the return of MOVIES AND MEANING with a special screening and discussion of GET OUT (2017)

Movies and Meaning is  a screening and discussion series allowing students to have conversation around their deepest held ideas and beliefs through the medium of film. In this, our first gathering of 2017, MM will be screening 2017's GET OUT. GET OUT has been described by writer and director Jordan Peele as a "social thriller" along the lines of ROSEMARY'S BABY or THE STEPFORD WIVES. The film explores themes of racism and identity through the coventions and tropes of horror. We will not only be screening the film, but following the film will be a robust discussion of the opportunities, ideas, and limitations of this impressive work.
