The Music Departments presents First Wednesday: "Viola Alone: Music for solo viola through the ages” — Violist Shane Barker will perform works showcasing the viola as a solo instrument by Biber, Bach, Kurtag and Hovhaness. The program will highlight the dark, soulful quality of the viola. Shane has performed as a chamber musician extensively across the United States, and has taught applied violin and viola at Lafayette College.
