Dr. Sayre will speak about the Student Farm Movement, its history, current status, and future directions. Sayre is a leader in the sustainable agriculture and student farm movement, coeditor of Fields of Learning (U. Kentucky Press, 2011), former editor at Rodale Press's The New Farm, and a broad thinker and prolific writer on issues of alternative agriculture, organic farming, and local food.
Her talk is free and open to the public.
