This Brown Bag session will focus on the ways in which the working-class mestizo youth produced music, literature, art, in the city of Lima during the 1980’s, contesting the militarized and racialized violence of the Peruvian Internal War. While introducing some of the music and imagery of the scene, Professor Rodríguez-Ulloa will address questions about masculinities and race.  Presented as a part of Latinx Heritage Month
