42 (dir. Brian Helgeland, 2013, 128 min.) is a biographical sports film about the racial integration of major league baseball. The film follows Jackie Robinson’s (Chadwick Boseman) relationship with baseball executive Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) and Robinson’s signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers to become the first African-American player to break baseball’s color barrier.
