The South Jersey Alumni Chapter invites you to join them on a guided canoeing tour of the New Jersey Pinelands. Led by naturalist John Volpe, of Pineland Adventures, you will enjoy a two to two and a half hour easy paddle on southern New Jersey’s Mullica River from Atsion Lake to Lock’s Bridge. The Mullica is a slow flowing river where no rapids are encountered. There will be frequent stops during the paddle to discuss the unique Pineland’s environment. Water, snacks, canoes and life jackets included.

John Volpe is an accomplished guide and naturalist with extensive history as an educator in the Pinelands. He has been an environmental science teacher, has facilitated the Pinelands Preservation Alliance’s teacher education program, and has been instrumental in creating the Black Run Preserve and chairs the friends of that preserve.

We are able to offer this trip at a substantial discount to alumni due to support from Lafayette College and the assistance of Pineland Adventures outfitters.

NOTE: The trip is limited to not more than 14 persons and reservations will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis. If interested, be sure to make your reservations early.
