The Lafayette College Percussion Ensemble presents an evening of percussive excitement featuring a wide variety of musical styles and a vast array of instruments from the US, Asia, Africa,South America, and Europe. Graduating senior, Sean Gorman, will be featured as Master Drummer leading a Djembe extraviganza that he composed. The grand finale will feature the full Japanese Taiko ensemble performing a special arrangement (by Rebecca Adelman and Larry Stockton) of Hana Shobu. In addition to the large-scale pieces, a number of smaller ensemble selections will be featured: Three Brothers, Skokiana, a Zimbabwe-style mallet ensemble feature, and many surprizes.
