Meet just behind Hogg Hall at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday to experience the LifeForce Yoga® Chakra Clearing Meditation, which combines ancient yogic techniques of breathing, sound, and meditation to bring the practitioner into balance with a clear, calm, and focused mind.  

Kelly is a registered yoga instructor who teaches Thursday night "Yoga for Spirituality" classes and recently joined Bija Initiative (www.bijainitiative.com).

The Chakra Clearing meditation technique engages the mind with sound and breath, the energy centers along the spine, and hand gestures called mudras.  Experienced meditators can benefit from these techniques too. If you regularly sit, it helps to have a technique to clear your mind so that more of your twenty or thirty minutes is spent floating on the still pond of your mind, observing the ripples and waves of your thoughts and feelings and less on drowning in them.  This meditation was shared with Kelly in a recent LifeForce Yoga training with Rose Kress, ERYT-500, LFYP-2, YACEP, Director of LifeForce Yoga®.
