“How to answer your parents' question: What can you do with a math degree?”

Abstract:  When Amy Durcan ’13 graduated from Lafayette she had a double major in Art and Mathematics, but no set career plans.  At the time, her answer to the question “what can you do with a math major?” seemed to be “Not much, unless you have further education.”   Amy will talk about the experiences that helped her to find her real answer to that dreaded question, and her experiences may give you some information on how you can walk out of Lafayette with more than just a degree.
