Guest curator Will Corwn will talk about the Williams Center exhibition, Marguerite Louppe & Maurice Brianchon: Painters’ Life.  A reception follows.

An exploration of a partnership, of two unique and creative talents that influenced and inspired each other in their individual practices, and of a marriage that was at the center of a Parisian artistic circle that included some of the greatest minds of 20th century French culture. Exhibition curator William Corwin selects paintings, prints, and drawings as well as book illustrations, set designs, letters, photographs, and historic documents narrating the life of two artists who thoroughly participated in and influenced French visual culture in the mid–20th century.

The artwork is from the collection of David Hirsh '97.
