Alexandra Meis ’08, who majored in Psychology while at Lafayette, will talk about how a liberal arts education—including coursework and volunteerism related to social justice issues—gave her the skills and confidence to become a successful entrepreneur in the male-dominated technology sector.  Co-founder of the software company Kinvolved, a firm that helps Title 1 K-12 schools across the country improve student attendance by way of sending simple text messages to families, Alex is a strong advocate for women’s participation in STEM fields and a firm believer in the ability of for-profit businesses to contribute to the common good.  Come hear the inspirational story of how Alex’s Lafayette experience led her to pursue a rather unconventional but highly rewarding career.  For more information on Kinvolved, see https://kinvolved.com/
