Celebrate 15 Years of the Village Movement

 Atul Gawande, renowned surgeon, public health researcher, and author of four New York Times best-selling books on health issues, will be the guest speaker at a live simulcast for members of the Village on College Hill and the Lafayette community. Dr. Gawande is also a staff writer for The New Yorker  and a professor both at Harvard's School of Public Health. and  Harvard's Medical School  He is a recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship. Dr. Gawande’s simulcast discussion, entitled “Being Mortal’s Villages: The Value of Community Choice As We Grow Older,” will focus on aging, living life with purpose, and how we can live out our later years with vigor among others who are also aging. It will be moderated by Robin Young of NPR's Here and NowA reception with light refreshments will follow the program. Please join us for what promises to be a informative and fascinating evening.
