David Conner is a Lead Chemist at the Dow Chemical Company, where he specializes in polymer science and waterborne coatings.  He is the inventor or co-inventor on multiple patents, and his research has been published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Inorganic Chemistry, MacromoleculesOrganometallics, and various trade journals.  David’s work has focused on ultralow VOC coatings, and he was a co-recipient of a 2013 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award.

 

Dr. Conner's talk, "Beyond the Lab Report: Non-technical Communication in the Work of a Scientist" will focus on the importance of communicating effectively, and for a variety of purposes, with the wide range of stakeholders in the world of science.
