Ecologist and founder of the Woods Hole Research Center, Dr. George Woodwell will lecture in the Life Sciences Seminar Series on climatic disruption. A member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Academy of the Arts and Sciences, he has also received several national environmental awards and honorary degrees. Woodwell's research encompasses biotic impoverishment, climate change, ecological effects of radiation and pesticides, and North American ecology.
