The Students of EGRS/EVST 373: Technology and Nature
Price:
Free

The future will be different. Those differences will be defined by different environmental realities. They will also no doubt be technological. In this presentation, the students of "Technology and Nature" will present their findings about alternative futures in the Year 2040. They consider different ways to envision technologies that sustain rather than undermine environmental health. Their scenarios are:

1. Past Peak Oil: Transportation without fossil fuels

2. Beyond Bees: Agriculture without pollinator bees

3. Sea Level Rise: New New York redevelops after losing its coast

4. Beyond Food Waste: Organic recycling after food waste is outlawed

The presentations are open to the public.

As in the future,  there will be snacks.
